Our Children’s Choir program is the perfect way for any child to learn how to sing with joy and confidence. Singing is one of the most natural forms of artistic expression for a child, and at Studio Thomas your child will learn healthy principles of singing and a repertoire of traditional, folk, and children’s songs from an expert teacher in a fun, interactive setting. Children will also learn to read rhythms and solfeggio technique.
We offer two choirs based on age and experience:
Music Explorers: Ages 4-7, Thursdays 3:45-4:45 pm
A fun, interactive introduction to sound, rhythm and basic vocal production with an emphasis on performance ability and confidence. Children learn a healthy approach to beautiful singing. Children also gain competence in reading rhythms, elementary solfeggio and basic sight reading skills.
Music Achievers: Ages 7-10, Thursdays 5:00-6:00 pm
This class will introduce two-part singing with fun musical activities designed for this age group. Children will also grow in music literacy through continued solfeggio and sight reading instruction.
