Conducting

Conducting lessons should be taken for at least one semester by anyone who has a desire to understand and perform music.  This is true learning by doing.  Lessons focus on refining the conductor’s physical gestures to more effectively encourage the desired result from the ensemble.  When each movement holds meaning, musicians will watch, respond, and collaborate better with the conductor.  Score preparation, ensemble motivation, and rehearsal strategy are some other key areas covered.
